The Affordable Airfares Program, delivered by Tourism WA, improves the affordability of regional airfares throughout Western Australia.

This initiative aims to address the impacts of rising fuel costs and inflation on airfares, focussed on driving visitors to key tourism hubs in northern WA that heavily depend on air access and stimulating economic growth in regional WA.  

The 2024 Affordable Airfares Program is a pivotal component of the WA Government's broader $75 million Aviation Recovery Fund, which was launched as part of the Reconnect WA initiative, with partial funding received from the Kimberley Flood Recovery Program.

The program offers discounted airfares on services operated by Airnorth, Nexus, Qantas and Virgin Australia between Perth, Exmouth, Broome and Kununurra.*

Airnorth discounted airfares will be offered for $199 one-way between Broome and Kununurra, for travel between 1 May and 31 August 2024.

Qantas discounted airfares will be offered for $199 and $209 (dependent on date of travel) between Perth and Exmouth, for travel between 1 May and 31 December 2024.
