Purnululu National Park, East Kimberley
It will now be easier to access the most iconic locations in Western Australia following the launch of a new regional airline service, launched 17 May 2023.
Aviair has launched its new high-capacity air service Nexus Airlines, connecting the Kimberley, Pilbara, and Mid-West regions. It's also providing new services linking Geraldton (Jamibun) to Perth (Boorloo), and Broome (Rubibi) to Kununurra (Goonoonoorrang) onto Darwin.
The Nexus flight routes will unlock unprecedented access to regional areas for visitors who prefer to fly, rather than road trip to the spectacular landscapes of WA's awe-inspiring Kimberley region; including the Dampier Peninsula, Horizontal Falls (Garaangaddim), El Questro Wilderness Park, and World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park, or other dreamy destinations like the pristine Houtman Abrolhos Island in the Mid-West or UNESCO World Heritage-nominated Murujuga National Park.
Priding itself as a locally-based airline, amenities, in-flight catering, and services have been sourced locally from regional WA wherever possible, with all aircraft, crew, and operations based in Geraldton and Broome.
The airline's branding has been developed in collaboration with Waringarri Art Centre senior artists and Miriwoong elders Peggy Griffiths Madij and Ben Ward Galmirrl, creating a unique design that marks Aviair's connection with the Kimberley for close to 40 years.
Flight bookings are available now, with the first departures on Monday 10 July, 2023.
