WA Visitor Economy Strategy 

WAVES 2033 outlines a new vision for Western Australia ‘to be recognised as a world-class destination that immerses people in its unique cultures, communities and environment’ and sets an ambitious goal to grow visitor spend in the state to $25 billion per annum by 2033.

Diversify WA

Our partners

Tourism WA works closely with other government agencies and industry bodies to promote Western Australia as a destination and support West Australian tourism operators. We also provide funding to other organisations to carry out marketing and advocacy work on behalf of our agency.

In WA, tourism matters. It represents the sixth largest sector in terms of economic contribution, and is a vital employer, supporting nearly 31,000 small businesses and over 100,000 jobs.
