A new jobs website exclusively for tourism and hospitality roles, westernaustralia.jobs, launched to industry today, Monday, May 16, to help address widespread workforce shortages.

Tourism WA partnered with the Australian Hotels Association WA to develop the free jobs board and careers website, specifically designed to attract jobseekers to help fill vacancies in WA's hotels, bars, pubs, taverns and restaurants and in our tourism businesses.

The purpose-built platform was created to link employers with those interested in working in hospitality and tourism, rather than shuffle existing workers in the industry.

The website includes information on visa support, seasonal work, regional destinations, funding incentives and training pathways, and also encourages job seekers to consider a career pathway in the WA hospitality and tourism sectors.

From today, employers can post job vacancies across all hospitality and tourism roles with a simple, quick and free listing.

Unlike other traditional employment sites, this is free for employers and connects job seekers directly with businesses.

Once populated with jobs, the site will be promoted to potential job seekers overseas and in Australia, with a focus on encouraging working holiday makers to take up employment opportunities in WA.
