Perth’s packed calendar of sporting events this winter has been boosted again with two Premier League football matches set to take place in July 2022.
Perth will host ICON, Perth’s International Festival of Football, which will feature four Premier League teams over two nights.
The matches are supported by Tourism WA, in partnership with VenuesLive, VenuesWest and TEG Live.
Leeds United will take on Crystal Palace on Friday July 22, 2022, while Manchester United and Aston Villa will face off on Saturday July 23, 2022.
Thousands of football fans are expected to flock to Perth, injecting millions into the WA economy.
There will also be a range of fan engagement opportunities bringing the capital city alive with football fever from the week commencing July 18.
The 'More than a Match' events will take place at a range of venues around Perth and Fremantle for Club fans to get involved in – more information is available on the ICON Perth website.
The matches are expected to generate extensive global media coverage and publicity for the State.
