Successful TRIP operators at ATE 2024
Tourism WA was thrilled to bring 10 operators from its new Trade Ready Introduction Program (TRIP) to the 44th edition of the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) 2024, held in Melbourne.
TRIP is three-year program designed to support and provide financial assistance to West Australian tourism operators to expand their business into interstate and international markets.
The 10 members of the program attended alongside nine trade-ready Aboriginal tourism operators from WA to showcase their tourism products at Australia’s largest annual business-to-business tourism event.
ATE facilitated face-to-face discussions with industry, buyers, sellers, airlines and other important organisations, helping to achieve positive outcomes for WA industry operators.
A total of 65 WA operators were in attendance, with seven ATE trade and media familiarisations conducted across WA, offering a fantastic opportunity to showcase ‘WA the Dream State’ to visitors from near and far.
Tourism WA also highlighted Western Australian road trip options at a State Tourism Organisation showcase, attended by other state tourism bodies, Tourism Australia, and close to 100 media outlets for around the world.
This showcase also facilitated one-on-one meetings with around 30 writers and editors from global publications.
