Tourism WA is on the road this month to hear direct from the industry about its thoughts on the future of tourism in the State and potential for growth.

A series of industry consultation events has started today in Perth, and will roll out across the State throughout November as we work to develop a strategy to ensure the success of our tourism industry.

Tourism WA Managing Director Carolyn Turnbull said it was timely to speak to operators as we look to the next stage of COVID-19 recovery.

“We want to hear directly from the people on the ground about how we can best prepare WA to openly welcome interstate and international travel,” Carolyn said.

“Before COVID-19, our tourism industry contributed $11 billion in visitor spend to the State’s economy. We want to define the way forward to return to these highs,” she said.

Roundtable events are being held in Perth, Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Pinjarra, Karratha, Broome, Fremantle, Geraldton, Margaret River, Swan Valley and Albany.
