Accessible & Inclusive tourism explained
Accessibility isn’t only about people who use wheelchairs – it also includes people with vision or hearing loss, people who need to travel with support people, people with learning challenges, allergies and intolerances, as well as considering people of all ages and abilities.
Making your tourism business more accessible is easier than you think. It starts with providing up-do-date information about your tourism product so visitors can plan with confidence.
Providing people with multiple ways to book helps operators to be more inclusive. We encourage all operators to update their listing on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse to include more detailed information about any accessibility options you offer.
Becoming more accessible and inclusive not only makes good business sense, but it also provides visitors with a positive, memorable experience of Western Australia.
