FORM Building a State of Creativity Limited
Prepare for an epic adventure! Internationally renowned Danish artist Thomas Dambo's Australian-first exhibition the 'Giants of Mandurah' launches this November in Mandurah, an hour's drive south of Perth.<br/> <br/>Arguably one of his most ambitious projects to date, the 'Giants of Mandurah' is an outdoor exhibition and game of self-discovery that celebrates and champions the protection of the Peel region’s extraordinary natural environment.<br/><br/>Thomas has exhibited extensively throughout the world including in Denmark, USA, France, Germany, China, South Korea and Chile. Both an artist and activist, his practice celebrates the diversity, beauty and importance of the natural world, with his works handmade using recycled and locally sourced materials. Through his trash-to-treasure approach, Thomas highlights the possibilities found in waste and the urgency of environmental sustainability.<br/><br/>The 'Giants of Mandurah' has been initiated and produced by FORM Building A State of Creativity and delivered in collaboration with the City of Mandurah. The project is supported by the State Government through Tourism Western Australia's Regional Events Program, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, and Lotterywest.
Ironman Australia
Ironman 70.3 Western Australia takes place in the scenic town of Busselton in the south-west region of the vast state of Western Australia, alongside the Ironman Western Australia event. Incorporating the iconic Busselton Jetty, Ironman 70.3 Western Australia is renowned worldwide for being the place to go for a personal best, with the bike and run courses amongst the flattest on the global Ironman circuit. <br/><br/>The 70.3 event has seen tremendous growth, both in size and reputation among the triathlon community and is widely recognised globally as a world-class sporting event. The event has become enormously popular with athletes and spectators alike and is renowned as a spectacular destination race and holiday venue. <br/><br/>A tribute to the City and people of Busselton who support and contribute to the huge success the event has become.
Ironman Australia
A stalwart of the Asia Pacific triathlon scene since 2004, Ironman Western Australia takes place in the scenic town of Busselton in the southwest region of the vast state of Western Australia. Incorporating the iconic Busselton Jetty, Ironman Western Australia is renowned worldwide for being the place to go for a personal best, with the bike and run courses amongst the flattest on the global Ironman circuit. <br/><br/>Since its debut on the Australian calendar in 2004, the Ironman event has seen tremendous growth, both in size and reputation among the triathlon community and is widely recognised globally as a world-class sporting event. The event has become enormously popular with athletes and spectators alike and is renowned as a spectacular destination race and holiday venue.
Nannup Music Club
The much-loved Nannup Music Festival presents an eclectic mix of live acts over the March long weekend each year, set to the stunning backdrop of Western Australia's South West and the small-town atmosphere of Nannup. A truly regional event, the NMF has been running since 1990 and has consistently proven to be one of the most anticipated events in Australia's music calendar. Over its long course, it has created life-lasting memories for multiple generations of audiences and earned an acclaimed reputation among national and international performers. It is proud to showcase new talent, originality, excellence, culture and Indigenous heritage, through a diverse and high quality program, which always promises and delivers a 'weekend of discovery' for the music lover.<br/><br/>The festival highlights the best in new, emerging and Indigenous music over free and ticketed venues, presents the Nannup Emerging Artists Award, and offers workshops, talks, poetry, camping, kids activities, food and artisan markets Over 100 acts across 8 stages, framed by workshops, kids' activities, camping, food and market vendors, and supported by over 450 volunteers, create an inspiring festival experience enjoyed daily by 5,000 ticket holders and over 3,000 visitors.<br/><br/>Please check the website for the full lineup and program.
Northam Flying Fifty
The Albany Classic is a classic car event for all ages. The Vintage Sports Car Club of Western Australia and the City of Albany are celebrating the annual running of the Albany Classic. The main streets of Albany will be transformed into a circuit with classic racing cars competing in regularity time trials.<br/><br/>The event incorporates the hillclimb at Mount Clarence on the Saturday and the Albany Classic "round-the-houses" regularity competition on the Sunday. <br/><br/>There are also car displays, market stalls, retail, café and hotel outlets as well as children's rides and activities in the family fun area. <br/><br/>The Albany Classic is a major highlight on the City of Albany's annual calendar and is a great opportunity for all ages to enjoy the history and spirit of classic racing cars.
Dwellingup Trails and Visitor Centre
The Shire of Murray's biggest public event of the year, the Pinjarra Festival returns to the beautiful grounds of the iconic Edenvale Heritage Precinct during the WA Day long weekend. North Melbourne Footbal Club
The North Melbourne Kangaroos will head out West to play their Round 13 clash against Fremantle at Hands Oval in Bunbury. This is a rare opportunity to see a Toyota AFL Premiership Season match in the South West region. Featuring a full match-day offering with activations and extra food and beverage services to enhance the fan experience.<br/><br/>This is the first of two games the Kangaroos will play in Western Australia. The following week, the Kangaroos will take on West Coast at Optus Stadium in Perth during Round 14 of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
North Melbourne Footbal Club
The North Melbourne Kangaroos will head out West to play their Round 14 clash against West Coast at Optus Stadium in Perth. This is the second of two games the Kangaroos will play in Western Australia. The previous week, the Kangaroos will take on Fremantle at Hands Oval in Bunbury during Round 13 of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
Albany Visitor Centre
As the days shorten and the cold weather creeps in, venues across Albany will heat up with a wide variety of arts, culture and children's events. The Maritime Festival celebrates the city's cultural and maritime history, including that of Albany's Menang Noongar people – who have strong links to the sea dating back thousands of years.<br/><br/>The Maritime Festival is presented by the City of Albany.
