Hot air ballooning in the Avon Valley, swimming with wild dolphins in Rockingham, a stay at the Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge or an Aboriginal cultural tour in Cygnet Bay are just some of the experiences Tourism WA is encouraging people to buy their loved ones this festive season, as part of the Gift of Travel campaign.
The campaign targets locals and those interstate, looking for gift ideas for loved ones living in WA, and directs them towards the www.gift.westernaustralia.com website, where people can book direct or buy vouchers from local tourism operators and travel agents for a range of WA tourism experiences.
To further support the campaign, bundles of tourism experiences will also be available through the www.wanderwa.com.au website as part of a cooperative marketing partnership between Tourism WA and Sightseeing Pass Australia.
The bundles will appeal to different family members and tastes, including adventure-packed food and wine experiences and family summer fun.
Tourism WA Managing Director Carolyn Turnbull, said the Gift of Travel campaign highlighted the depth and breadth of tourism experiences available in WA.
“Giving a tourism experience is so much more memorable and meaningful than giving a physical gift and in WA we really are spoiled for choice when it comes to the adventures on offer,” she said.
“From a Margaret River Adventure Tour for Mum or Dad to a bucket-list whale shark swim for your best friend, when you buy a WA tourism experience this festive season, you’re showing your loved ones you care, and supporting the tourism industry too.”
