Accommodation, tour operators and experience providers across the Perth region are set to benefit with the launch of our second Stay, Play and Save campaign, which goes live on Monday.
It follows a successful first round of the campaign earlier this year, which saw an extra 3000 room nights booked for the participating hotels, with 12 hotels selling out of their deals.
Tourism WA Acting Managing Director Derryn Belford said this was a great opportunity to support the tourism industry in the Perth region, which continues to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We know there are areas in the tourism industry that are hurting more than others, as we focus on our recovery efforts in the COVID-19 pandemic – one of those being accommodation providers and operators in the Perth CBD,” Derryn said.
“Our Perth city hotels would typically be taking bookings from business travellers throughout the week, and while we all think we know our city well, there is never a better time to get behind our tour operators and experience it a little differently – you might learn something new, or rediscover your passion for Perth,” she said.
As with round one, round two includes the offer of a $200 discount on a minimum $400 spend for a two-night stay at 40 participating city hotels, booked from Sunday to Thursday.
This time around, all packages include a meal option - and as an added bonus, we’ve joined forces with Destination Perth to offer vouchers for close to 40 tours and experiences to encourage West Aussies to discover the amazing offerings in their backyard.
“We have amazing experiences to discover in our backyard, and so many ways to do it – walking or riding, on the road or on the water,” Derryn said.
“WA is fortunate to have so many wonderful tourism operators who are passionate about what they do, and are eager to share their ‘secrets’ about their piece of our State with consumers.
“We’re proud to be able to offer Stay, Play and Save again, and be able to incorporate tours and experiences this time around, to be able to support the industry in Perth and encourage West Aussies to wander into the city this winter,” Derryn said.
