Published: 30 March 2025

Leading airline, airport, and tourism decision-makers arrived in Perth/Boorloo last week for Routes Asia 2025, a premier airline route development event, focused on shaping the future of air connectivity across the Asia-Pacific region.

The three-day conference was secured by Tourism WA, Perth Airport, and supported by Business Events Perth and attracted over 900 delegates from over 60 countries, 320 organisations and over 100 airlines, all coming together to explore new route opportunities and strengthen global connections.

The 2025 conference saw key carriers from Tourism WA’s priority international markets - including China, India, Japan, and the United Kingdom in attendance, and presented a valuable opportunity to expand WA’s international aviation capacity and unlock new travel and business opportunities for Western Australia.

Tourism WA and Perth Airport hosted 29 VIP delegates from 21 airlines, as part of the conference’s Hosted Airline Program to showcase Perth’s unique tourism offerings, encouraging them to include Perth—and our state’s regional destinations—in their future network planning.

Routes Asia 2025 provided an opportunity for Tourism WA and Perth Airport to meet with airline partners from across the region, to discuss existing and planned services and how we can work together to elevate Perth’s profile as Australia’s Western Gateway.
