WA’s culinary credentials will be on show to the nation thanks to a new partnership that gives Tourism WA access to quality food and drink editorial and video content.

The partnership will enable Tourism WA to use content produced by online publication, The West Australian Good Food Guide, on its own digital channels to boost the appetites of potential gourmet travelers.

Access to some of Australia’s high profile chefs and food writers are also part of the arrangement, including chef Matt Moran who recently visited the State.

Moran’s trip to WA was showcased on his social media channels, with Rottnest, Perth city restaurants and Akoya oysters from Albany all featured in posts to his followers.

Tourism WA’s Acting Managing Director, Derryn Belford, said the arrangement would help to encourage travelers to experience WA’s quality food and dining options.

“This partnership will mean we have a steady flow of standout content to share on our consumer digital platforms that are regularly visited by tourists seeking information on new and trending destinations and experiences in the State.

“It will help to position WA as a quality culinary tourism destination, and showcase the many new small bars and restaurants that have sprung up in Perth and the South West in recent years.”
