A new Tourism WA campaign will help businesses impacted by COVID-19 restrictions, by encouraging West Australians to reconsider local destinations that were previously booked out.
Relook and Book is encouraging West Aussies who have been considering a holiday in WA, or who have had their travel plans disrupted, to have another look at local destinations, and book for 2021.
Acting Tourism WA Managing Director Derryn Belford said the Relook and Book marketing campaign will support regions around the State that have considerable vacancies, including the Kimberley and Ningaloo Reef.
“We recognise 2020 and 2021 have been an absolute rollercoaster for our industry, and the uncertainty throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has been difficult, as operators work through cancellations, refunds and postponement – often at the last minute,” she said.
“West Australians have been great travellers, spending a record $4.8 billion*. This will build on our successful Wander out Yonder campaign, Relook and Book is encouraging West Australians to holiday at home and spend their money in WA."
Relook and Book will feature holiday deals and travel packages to entice locals to book and travel now.
It goes live on Monday 19 July across radio, print and social media.
